Where We Stayed?

Hotel Peyris Opera

Breakfast Incl.: Yes
Room Type: Privilege Triple Room
Price: $234.63/night
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Details & Review

3 Guests | 1 Night
Review: The hotel is unnaturally small–rooms, stairs, hallways are all incredibly tight. It’s not very close to a metro station and for the price, we would never stay there again. It is clean and safe but I just think there is better out there.

Hôtel Du Midi Paris Montparnasse

Room Type: Superior Triple Room
Price: $285/night

Review: Nice hotel, definitely recommended! In the 14th arrondissement which has great monuments, museums and culture. Denfert-Rochereau RER B station was across the street, convenient to get to and from the airport. Catacombs are close by.

What We Did?

Luxembourg Gardens

Price: FREE
Rating: ★★★★☆

Review: There is no admission fee and you can happily stroll, sit or picnic in the gardens. Highly recommended

Lunch at 58 Tour Eiffel (2 People)

Price: $101 Total
Rating: ★★★★☆

Review: Because dinner at the Eiffel clearly wasn’t enough, we went there for lunch to get a different view, ha. We did think the views were better at lunch time. After lunch on the first floor we took the stairs (there are a lot of them) to the 2nd floor. The view from the 2nd floor are breathtaking. Price is 42.50 €/person

Sacre-Coeur Basilica

Price: FREE
Rating: ★★★★☆

Review: Be prepared to walk and climb stairs. It’s a beautiful way to start the day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Day Trip To Versailles

Price: $30
Rating: ★★★★☆

Review: Price includes the RER C train (~7.1 Euros) tickets and entering Versailles. While there, two of my friends rented bikes and rode around they garden–they highly recommend it.

9PM Dinner 58 Tour Eiffel (4 Ppl)

Price: $569 Total
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Review: “Service Premier” for my parents (150€, window seat–trocadero view) | Regular service for friend and I (99€, non-preferential seating). Unless you have a serious occasion that you are celebrating or you are someone who has always dreamed of eating dinner in the Eiffel, I say pass this up. It was great to do this for my parents but I wouldn’t ever eat dinner there again. Instead opt for the 42.50€ lunch if you absolutely must. *If vegetarian like I am, tell them beforehand.

Where We Ate?

Le Chalet Savoyard

Price Point: $$
Rating: ★★★★★

Review: Best raclette you’ll get in Paris. Fit this in your schedule and you won’t regret it! We’ve never managed to eat the whole raclette provided or even make a dent in it to be honest. It’s a lot of cheese along with the endless bread, potatoes, meat and etc. that you’re given. About 24.50 euros per person.

L’As du Fallafel

Price Point: $
Rating: ★★★★★

Review: My friends and I ADORE this place and we always find a way to work it into our itinerary when visiting Paris. This an absolutely must-eat restaurant. Just check out all the tripadvisor reviews to see what the hype is all about.

Ladurée Paris Champs Elysées

Price Point: $$$
Rating: ★★★★☆

Review: They’re known for their macaroons, which I do find to be delicious despite the ridiculous price they charge for them. If you’re looking for a premium gift and or really love macaroons, visit them and make the investment.
