Victoria Peak: What You Need To Know
What Is Victoria Peak?
“Victoria Peak is a mountain in the western half of Hong Kong Island. It is also known as Mount Austin, and locally as The Peak.” From Victoria Peak you can experience one of the best scenic views of the Hong Kong–a view that is easily one of the most iconic sights in HK.
Tickets to the Peak are 45 HKD for round trip and 90 HKD if you want to go to the sky terrace when you are on the peak for 360 degree views.
Children aged 3 to 11 are half priced compared to an adult ticket.
The MTR can take you to most places in Hong Kong. While it can be busy, the trains are clean and air conditioned. All announcements for the train are done in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, while the map above the doorway inside the train flashes to show what stop is coming up next. Be sure to follow signs, which are in English as well, to go to the most appropriate exit, as each station has many that will bring you closer to specific locations.
